Greens. Everyone says you need to eat more. And you probably do! Today we’re combining one of our favorite greens, Kale, with Tambor Açaí to create a creamy Peanut Butter Kale Acai Bowl; or as we like to call it, PB & Kale for short.
Kale is undoubtably the trendiest green at the moment, and rightfully so with it’s boost in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and assistance in helping lower cholesterol. Though no matter how popular, a lot of people are still scared off by its dark leafy “greenness”. This peanut butter kale acai bowl is a great recipe if you’ve got a bit of those feelings too or are wondering how you can get your kids to eat more healthy greens. Smoothies and acai bowls are a great way to disguise your greens, like kale and spinach. Check out the recipe below and give it a try! We’ll bet it’ll have you asking, “where’s the greens?”.
2 packs Traditional Tambor Acai [ for this recipe we’re using our unsweetened packs ]
1-2 Leaflets of Kale
2 Tablespoons of Organic Peanut Butter
1/2 Cup Organic Frozen Blueberries
1 Local Apple Banana [ or 1/2 of a large organic Banana ]
1 Tablespoon Organic Local Honey [ Honey sourced as local to you as possible is always best, this goes for bee pollen as well ]
1/4 Cup Organic Almond Milk
Add all ingredients into the blender and mix until smooth. Use a spatula to get as much off the walls of your blender as possible. Sprinkle on all your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
