Sweetened Acai Or Unsweetened Acai
Sweetened acai or unsweetened acai, which do you prefer? If you’re not sure what the big difference is, this post ought to clear things up.
In our online shop you’ll see these two types of acai. It’s there you’ll find that our sweetened acai is called Acai Mix, and the unsweetened acai is called Traditional Acai. All of our acai pulps are premium Grade A Especial, organic, non-gmo, and wild harvested from the Brazil’s Amazon forests.
Below we’ve done a comparison of both types of acai in taste, color, and consistency when blended.
ACAI MIX, Sweetened
Pack ingredients: organic wild harvested açaí, organic evaporated cane juice, and less than 0.5% of organic guaraná extract and citric acid.

Color:
Dark purple at a glance, though slightly lighter when the frozen pack is set next to our Traditional Acai pack.
Consistency:
Smooth, creamy, medium in density, even a little ‘airy’ when it begins to melt.
Taste:
Sweet, though not overpowering, easily edible by itself like a sorbet.
TRADITIONAL ACAI, Unsweetened
Pack ingredients: organic wild harvested açaí, and less than 0.5% of citric acid.

Color:
As close to the acai fresh picked off its palm, the color of our Traditional Acai is a deep, dark purple, bordering on black/purple when pulled out of the freezer.
Consistency:
Smooth, creamy, more dense in weight than the Acai Mix.
Taste:
Pure, clean, a subtle tartness, not sweet.
