DIY Natural Non-Toxic Kitchen Cleaners
Our mantra ‘Life In Rhythm‘ is a saying that not only applies to the food we eat, but also shines through in other areas of our world. Our Açaí is USDA Certified Organic and we’re happily conscious of the purchases we make when it comes to buying organic foods for our families, free of pesticides and chemicals. It’s a little scary reading the content labels on some of the name brand cleaning products that sit in the cabinets of so many homes, and at a level too accessible for children. So when it comes to the surfaces we’re preparing our organically grown food with, why wouldn’t we want them to be clear of chemicals as well? We’ve gathered up some awesome DIY Natural Non-Toxic Kitchen Cleaners that you can make at home. Read on to get started!

Stainless Steel Appliance Cleaner
Distilled White Vinegar
Mineral Oil, like Olive Oil or other oil of your choice
*Add Vinegar to spray bottle. Spray the solution on the appliance and rub in the direction of the ‘grain’ of the stainless steel with a microfiber cloth. For the shine, dip or add a small amount of the oil to your cloth and polish in the same direction.
All-Purpose Surface Cleaner for Counters & such
1 cup Distilled White Vinegar
1 cup Water
3 drops Tea Tree Oil
3 drops Grapefruit or other desired Essential Oil
*Add to spray bottle and shake well before use as the essential oils tend to sit at the surface.
Stovetop Cleaner
1/3 cup Baking Soda
Warm Water
*Add warm water, enough to create a moist paste, and it’s ready to use with a scrub pad or bristled brush!
Stainless Steel Sink Cleaner
Half a Lemon
Baking Soda
*Sprinkle the baking soda in the sink and use the lemon half as a scrubbing pad. You can even make use of lemon halves after you’ve squeezed the juice out. The rind and pulp still have a powerful effect with less juice.
