Simple Delicious Raw Almond Milk
Ingredients
2 cups raw almonds
6 cups filtered water, or less to thicken
6 – 8 pitted dates
2 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean powder
pinch or two of sea salt
Instructions
Soak your raw almonds overnight in a pitcher or container and add filtered water, enough to cover the almonds. Next day, rinse and drain the soaked almonds. Add the almonds, new filtered water, dates, salt and vanilla to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Keep it running for at least 1-2 minutes so you get the most out of your almonds.
Next, pour and strain using a nut milk bag; even a thin dish towel will work. Squeeze until all of the liquid is extracted. Discard pulp. Transfer milk to a covered jar or bottle and refrigerate. Keeps for up to a few days, but it’s best fresh! Shake well before drinking as it may separate.
Enjoy!
